Info On Diabetes Mellitus

Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolical disease characterised by excessive urination as a result of excess sugar in the body system.
It is a defects in either insuline secretion or insuline action in the body leading to a high blood-glucose level.

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease with serious health complications such as weight loss and general body weakness.
The rise in blood-sugar level is a consequence of the inadequate secretion of a hormone called insuline which converts excess sugar in to useful substance.

Risk Factors for Diabetes

*Alcoholic consumption

*Overfeeding and poor eating harbit
*Consumption of starchy foods and sugary drinks
*Over weight
*Malnutrition
*Stress.

Symptoms of Diabetes

*Weight loss and energy loss

*Blurred vision
*Constant urination
*Nausea
*Skin infections
*Fatique
*Abnormal thirst
*Lethargy.

Prevention of Diabetes mellitus

*Shedding of weight for overweight individuals
*Regular exercise
*Maintain a good feeding harbit.Eat balance diets
*Avoid fats and oils
*Junk foods and sugar rich drinks are not good.
*Honey should be used in house hold meals instead of sugar.
